June 2025 Update: 6 Products in 6 Months, and Still Building Anyway

At the beginning of 2025, I made a bold public commitment: to ship one product every single month for 12 months. No matter what. No matter the circumstances. No excuses. Just consistent execution.

Now, standing at the halfway point of the year, I can say this: the streak is alive.

Six months. Six products. No fluff. No perfection. Just raw, iterative building.

Every product I’ve launched so far has been bootstrapped, minimal, and rooted in solving a real, lived problem. Some were experiments. Some were extensions of personal pain points. Some were requests from others who trusted I could build something useful.

None of them were perfect. And that’s the point. They’re built anyway.

🎉 June Was Personal

Before we dive into product updates, let’s talk about life.

June is my birthday month. It’s the halfway marker of the year and, for me, a natural point for reflection.

I didn’t throw a big party or go on a fancy trip. Instead, I chose presence over performance.

My 2-year-old daughter had one wish: to see wild animals. So we spent a beautiful afternoon at Nairobi National Park. Watching giraffes roam freely, hearing her joyful shouts at zebras, feeling the fresh air while disconnected from work — it reminded me why I’m even doing all this.

Not for vanity metrics. Not for external applause. But for freedom, presence, and legacy.

The ability to choose how I spend my time, who I spend it with, and what kind of work I wake up to every morning. That’s the freedom I’m building for. One product at a time.

Disclaimer: We actually saw real animals.

📚 June’s Product: Build Anyway (The Startup Playbook)

June’s product wasn’t another SaaS or web tool.

This time, I went inward.

I wrote a book.

It’s called Build Anyway: The Playbook for Founders in the Mud, Not on the Stage.

This book isn’t for the hype-driven entrepreneur. It’s not about chasing unicorns or glamorizing fundraising. It’s not a guide to becoming a VC’s darling.

It’s for the real founder. The one building in the trenches. The one bootstrapping with personal savings. The one juggling kids, side gigs, and late-night shipping sessions.

Build Anyway is part manual, part journal, part war cry.

I wrote it because I’ve lived it. I’ve raised money and lost it. I’ve built teams and dismantled them. I’ve made bad hires, signed the wrong contracts, launched flops, and lived through the eerie silence of launches that no one cared about.

And yet, I’m still here. Still building.

This book captures those lessons. And more importantly, it gives fellow builders permission to keep going.

Because we don’t need perfect conditions. We need progress.

🛠 Product Updates

Here’s a deeper dive into what’s happening across the six products shipped so far:

1. To Somewhere Logistics (TSL)Launched May 2025

TSL is a logistics marketplace built to connect service seekers with truck owners. Whether someone is moving house, needs bulk delivery, or has construction material to haul, TSL makes it easy to match demand with supply.

Right now, the product is live and operational — but still under tight iteration. We’re testing with a small group of drivers, collecting data on job frequency, pricing sensitivity, and user behavior.

My brother and I are even considering expanding our fleet — not because it’s easy, but because we’ve proven a working loop.

July will be pivotal: we’re aiming to onboard 50 new drivers, and begin expanding through digital distribution, not just referrals.

This is still a raw and growing space. But there’s real traction — and I’m committed to pushing it further.

2. InterviewPrepLaunched April 2025

InterviewPrep is one of the most functional tools I’ve built this year.

It’s a tool designed for job seekers — helping them generate tailored CVs and cover letters based on a saved user profile and a specific job description.

No fluff. Just output that helps people apply faster, with more relevance.

We’ve recently launched user logins and profile saving, so users can now save their education, work history, and skills — making repeat applications even smoother.

We also introduced a paid tier ($10/month or $100/year) to keep the platform sustainable.

What makes InterviewPrep useful:

  • It saves time (no more rewriting CVs from scratch)
  • It removes the guessing (outputs are keyword-optimized)
  • It’s designed with local job seekers in mind (especially in Africa)

I’m still collecting user feedback and preparing for integrations that will help it become a true “career assistant.”

3. Startup List AfricaLaunched March 2025

Startup List Africa was born from a simple observation: there isn’t a central, trustworthy place to discover African startups by category, founder, or location.

So I built one.

Unfortunately, June was a quiet month for this product. A few server crashes threw us off, and I had to pause to do clean-up and reevaluate the hosting setup.

That said, this forced me to start thinking more seriously about monetization and long-term uptime, especially as more founders request to list.

If you’re a startup founder building in Africa, watch out — I’ll be relaunching this properly in July.

4. NamekonLaunched February 2025

Namekon helps founders brainstorm business names, check domain availability, and quickly register names that match.

It’s a simple, clean tool. But honestly? It’s been pretty silent since launch.

I haven’t received feedback or suggestions, so I haven’t pushed updates. Still, it works, and I use it myself when tinkering with ideas.

Sometimes not every product is a hit. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth building.

5. NenoPressLaunched January 2025

NenoPress is my content scheduling and writing assistant.

It’s helped creators and small teams draft, schedule, and post content across platforms with ease.

June was quiet here, but not idle.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been preparing for mass onboarding, refining the onboarding UX, and creating better help content.

NenoPress still remains a tool I use regularly myself. I know it can be powerful for solopreneurs and coaches.

💼 Coaching, Focus & Energy

June wasn’t just about shipping software.

It was one of my best months for coaching.

I got the privilege to run two powerful 1-on-1 strategy sessions with recent Master’s graduates who were transitioning careers, starting new projects, and some launching their own ventures.

These weren’t surface-level calls. They were deep. Honest. Energizing. The kind of sessions that remind me that sometimes, the most valuable thing you can give someone isn’t a product — it’s perspective.

On the personal front:

  • ✅ Zero sugar in June
  • ✅ Daily 3km morning runs
  • ✅ Lost 2kg
  • ✅ Focused energy and clarity like never before

I’m learning that discipline is a multiplier. It affects how well I ship, how deeply I think, and how confidently I sell.

When the body is aligned, the mind is clear. And when the mind is clear, the output flows.

🔭 Looking Ahead: July Plans

As we enter Q3, here’s what’s coming:

✍️ New Book on Tools & Distribution

I’m planning a follow-up book to Build Anyway. This one will focus on digital tools, systems, and bootstrapped distribution tactics. Real tactics, not theory.

If you’ve been struggling to get your product in front of users — this will be for you.

📈 Active Distribution for Paid Tools

Now that several products have monetization paths (InterviewPrep, NenoPress, and soon TSL), I’m shifting from just building to actively distributing.

I’ll be running small experiments, building audience loops, and documenting what works.

🏃‍♂️ Health Commitment Continues

The running, the clean eating, the focus — it’s not a one-month thing. It’s the new normal. And I’m feeling the benefits compound.

🎯 Coaching Slots Open

If you want help with launching, rebuilding, or finding momentum — I’ve opened up 3 new slots in July.

🙌 Final Words: Still Building. Still Learning. Still Shipping.

This journey isn’t easy. It’s definitely not glamorous. But it’s real.

Twelve products in twelve months isn’t about ego. It’s about discipline. It’s about iteration. It’s about living out the Build Anyway mindset in full view.

So far:

  • ✅ 6 products launched
  • ✅ 1 book published
  • ✅ Still bootstrapping
  • ✅ Still gaining traction
  • ✅ Still loving the process

If you’ve followed the journey, thank you.
If you’ve used one of the tools, shared a post, or sent feedback — I see you.

Let’s keep going.
